Not too much is known about Kurt Cobain as a husband and a father, but we do know that Courtney and he were drawing near to divorce at the time of his death.

I have read in various places he was a devoted dad who loved his kid Frances Bean, and that was why he was plannin gon quittign touring, to not be away from her
I too have heard he was planning to divorce Courtney and had changed his will to exclude Courtney from it, but died before signing it, not I say dies not committed suicide, as I think there are serious doubts on that

Yes, I too have heard he was a devoted and loving father to his daughter. And every photo I have seen of them together they look so very happy just to be in each other's presence! He made a very sweet father. And I read a biography on him, one of the older ones, and it said that he did for a while give up substances for his daughter.
